How fast can I get a note done with Clio?
Generation takes 5 to 10 seconds. Most workers sign a note within a minute of finishing their input. Real users have signed their first ever note within 10 minutes of signing up to Clio for the first time.
Do I have to type, or can I just speak?
Either. Tap the microphone and speak in plain language, or type. Clio handles casual speech, fixes common name misspellings, and tidies the rest. Voice works on Chrome, Edge, and mobile browsers using Australian English.
What if I forget to mention something important?
Clio shows you. If the note needs something you didn't mention, like the check you did after a fall, you will see a red tappable tag in the note where the gap is. Tap to fill, or rewrite with more detail and regenerate. Sign-off is blocked until the gaps are addressed.
Can I edit the note before I sign it?
Yes. Every note has an Edit button. Rewrite anything in free text, then sign off. Your name goes on the note. The signed version ends with a one-line disclosure that it was generated with Clio AI and reviewed by you.
Is the note actually NDIS compliant?
Clio's note engine is built on the NDIS Practice Standards, the Code of Conduct, and the Reportable Incidents Rules. Notes are structured for audit, written in first person because you are the author, and incident classifications are applied automatically when relevant. Your sign-off is what makes the note yours legally.
Does Clio keep what the AI originally wrote?
Yes. Clio keeps its first version of every note beside the version you sign. If a note is ever questioned, you can show exactly what Clio produced and what you changed.
Can I add photos to a note?
Yes. Attach up to 10 photos from the shift. They appear at the end of the note's PDF, not in the note text, and Clio doesn't read them or use them to write the note.
Where does my note information go?
Your notes are stored in Australia. To write a note, only the information needed is sent, encrypted, to Anthropic, the maker of Claude, in the United States. Anthropic doesn't use it to train AI models and deletes it within 30 days.
