AI case notes for support workers

Finish the shift.
Let Clio finish the note.

Speak or type what happened on shift. Clio catches the detail, structures the note to NDIS standards, and hands it back ready to sign. Minutes, not hours.

No credit card. Cancel anytime.
Then just $15/month. One plan, everything included.
Speak or type, your choice
Built on NDIS Practice Standards
Yours to edit and sign off

A finished note before you leave the carpark.

You did the shift. You know what happened. Clio does the writing and the structuring, so you can sign off and be done.

Speak or type
Tap the microphone and tell Clio what happened, or type a few lines. It handles casual speech, fixes common name misspellings, and tidies the rest. Works on your phone in the car, or on a laptop at home.
Auto-structured in seconds
Your input becomes a note with context, activities, wellbeing, communication, goals, and follow-up. Written in first person, in plain language. Generation takes 5 to 10 seconds.
Knows what's missing
If a section a complete note needs is thin or absent, Clio flags it with a red tappable tag where the gap is. Tap to fill, or rewrite with more detail and regenerate. Sign-off stays blocked until the gaps are addressed.
Edit, then sign off
Every note has an Edit button. Rewrite anything in free text, then sign off. The signed note ends with a one-line disclosure that it was generated with Clio AI and reviewed by you. Your name on it.
Fills the boring fields for you
Date, time, duration, location, and worker name all pre-fill from the shift. If there's an incident, Clio asks once for who, when, and who you notified, so the form is finished before the note is written.
Works from your participant's plan
Set up a participant once with their goals, NDIS plan details, and supports. Clio uses the profile every time. Goals link from the profile, so you don't pick from a generic list.

Plenty of workers still print a template.

It works. You sit down after a shift, fill in the boxes, and hope you remember to cover everything. We made a free template that's structured to the NDIS Practice Standards, so if that's your way, you can download it below and use it on every shift.

Or you can speak or type once and let Clio write the note for you, with the structure already done and the gaps flagged before you sign. Same standards. Less time.

Notes aren't the whole job. Clio isn't just notes.

AI case notes, asked & answered.

How fast can I get a note done with Clio?
Generation takes 5 to 10 seconds. Most workers sign a note within a minute of finishing their input. Real users have signed their first ever note within 10 minutes of signing up to Clio for the first time.
Do I have to type, or can I just speak?
Either. Tap the microphone and speak in plain language, or type. Clio handles casual speech, fixes common name misspellings, and tidies the rest. Voice works on Chrome, Edge, and mobile browsers using Australian English.
What if I forget to mention something important?
Clio shows you. If a section a complete note needs is thin or absent, like the participant's wellbeing or their voice, you will see a red tappable tag in the note where the gap is. Tap to fill, or rewrite with more detail and regenerate. Sign-off stays blocked until the gaps are addressed.
Can I edit the note before I sign it?
Yes. Every note has an Edit button. Rewrite anything in free text, then sign off. Your name goes on the note. The signed version ends with a one-line disclosure that it was generated with Clio AI and reviewed by you.
Is the note actually NDIS compliant?
Clio's note engine is built on the NDIS Practice Standards, the Code of Conduct, and the Reportable Incidents Rules. Notes are structured for audit, written in first person because you are the author, and incident classifications are applied automatically when relevant. Your sign-off is what makes the note yours legally.
Is this just a notes app, or more?
More. AI case notes are one of six tools that come with every Clio account: case notes, shift calendar, invoicing, expenses, reports, and tax summary. Everything links together. No second subscription. See the full toolkit →
