Open Clio Care, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom and choose Delete my account. You will be asked to type your email address to confirm. The deletion happens straight away.
Email hello@cliocare.com.au from the address on the account, with the words "delete my account" in the subject line. You do not need to give a reason.
We will confirm the request is genuine, delete the account and everything in it, and email you when it is done. Requests are actioned within 30 days and usually within a few days.
Everything held against your account:
Deletion is permanent. Nothing is archived and nothing can be restored, including by us.
Clio Care is not a substitute for your own record-keeping. Independent support workers are generally expected to keep records of the supports they deliver for a number of years, and deleting your account does not change that obligation. Export or download any notes, reports and invoices you may need for tax or an audit before you delete.
If you have a paid subscription, it is cancelled as part of the deletion and you will not be billed again. Payments already taken are not automatically refunded. If you think you have been charged in error, email hello@cliocare.com.au.
If you subscribed through the Google Play Store rather than through our website, cancel the subscription in the Play Store as well, since Google manages that billing and we cannot cancel it for you.
We keep a dated record that a deletion took place, so we can confirm a request was honoured. It holds no name, no participant information and no content from your account.
Your email address is stored only as a one-way fingerprint. We cannot read an address back out of it, but if you contact us later we can check it against the address you give us and tell you that your account was deleted and when. That way we can answer you properly without keeping the address of someone who asked to be erased.
If you shared a participant with other support workers, the participant record and their notes stay with the remaining workers, because those records are about the participant and are relied on by the people still supporting them. Everything you wrote is deleted.
We may also keep information where the law requires it, for example records related to payments. See our Privacy Policy.
